These Apple Wood coasters come with a story…. The wood turner, Jean (aka Beaver, Dad or Paw), made them using his neighbour’s apple tree that had been cut down. The wood had to dry for a year before being able to manoeuvre it and work with it. They had to be very carefully sliced, sanded, polished, lacquered, and each gap has been filled with a special resin to prevent any further cracking. Each coaster is already finished with 4 felts on the bottom to protect any surface. They are beautiful and unique and definitely are a focal point in any room.
